The first step in your hair loss treatment journey is a one-on-one, one-hour appointment with Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Eli Akbari, MD, FRCSC — designed to determine the root cause of your hair loss and build an approach tailored specifically to you.
This comprehensive hair analysis is $150 and takes approximately 60 minutes. It is not a quick screening visit. As Vancouver's largest and most trusted hair loss center, we combine advanced trichoscopy, a full blood requisition when indicated, and a personalized treatment plan in a single, in-depth consultation.

Medical History
We start with a thorough, one-on-one consultation to understand what's behind your hair loss — before anything else.
- Review of overall health and any underlying conditions that may influence hair health
- Assessment of daily habits, lifestyle choices, and any family history
- Discussion of previous treatments and what has or hasn't worked
Live HD Trichoscopy
Using advanced trichoscopy equipment, we examine your hair and scalp under magnification — live on screen — uncovering details invisible to the naked eye.
- Health and condition of individual hair follicles under magnification
- Signs of inflammation, miniaturization, or follicular damage
- Scalp condition, dryness, and factors affecting hair growth density
Blood Test Requisition
Based on your history and trichoscopy findings, Dr. Akbari determines whether bloodwork is needed. If so, we send a requisition to Life Labs directly.
- Hormones: Prolactin, Testosterone, DHEA, LH & FSH
- Thyroid: Full panel including T3, T4, and TSH
- Additional markers when clinically indicated
