Most Commonly Asked Questions Regarding Botox

Botox is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes muscles by blocking nerve signals. It’s commonly used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially in areas like the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes (crow’s feet).

The effects of Botox typically last 3 to 4 months, depending on individual factors such as metabolism, lifestyle, and treatment area. Regular treatments can help maintain results.

Botox injections are minimally invasive, and most patients describe the sensation as a slight pinch. A topical numbing cream can be applied to make the process more comfortable.

A Botox treatment session usually takes around 15 to 30 minutes, making it a convenient option for those with busy schedules. There is little to no downtime, and you can resume normal activities right after.

You may start to notice improvements within 3 to 5 days, with full results appearing after about 1 to 2 weeks. The treated muscles will gradually relax, smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines.

There’s no significant downtime with Botox. You can return to your regular routine immediately, though it’s recommended to avoid strenuous activities, lying down, or rubbing the treated area for 24 hours.

Avoid alcohol, blood thinners (e.g., aspirin), and anti-inflammatory medications a few days before treatment to minimize the risk of bruising. Consult with your practitioner about any medications or health conditions before your appointment.

Yes, Botox is also used for medical conditions such as migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and muscle spasms. Speak with your practitioner to see if Botox could help with a specific concern.

The cost of Botox varies depending on the treatment area and the number of units required. During your consultation, we’ll provide a detailed quote based on your individual needs. We charge $12 per unit.
